Nestled in the sun-drenched hills of Lazio, Frascati is known for its rustic charm, scenic vineyards, and timeless culinary traditions.

Frascati by Night Tour begins with pickup at the train station and a visit to our countryside farmhouse for a tasting of award-winning Frascati wines. After learning about local winemaking traditions, we’ll return to the historic center for a guided stroll through Frascati’s charming streets, followed by a relaxed fagotto-style dinner at a local osteria, featuring regional specialties and more delicious wine. It is available Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from Mid-April to Mid-October beginning at 4:30 PM. It includes a a tour of the vineyard at our Old Frascati Farmhouse with a wine tasting there paired with local snacks. A guided tour of the historic Frascati city center, and a traditional local dinner in the center of Frascati. Cost: 85€ per person-ages 16 and above 60€ per person-ages 3-15. No cost for ages 2 and below.

Our Sunset Wine Tour brings you to our Old Frascati Farmhouse to taste wines in stunning nature of the Roman countryside. Later you’ll return to the historic center of Frascati to the outdoor wine taverns for a fun & delicious dinner in the piazza!

ARRIVAL
Meet your driver in front of Frascati Train Station at 4:24PM.
RELAX IN BEAUTIFUL WINE COUNTRY
Learn about the vineyard and countryside with your local guide who will show you the vines and the local flora and fauna and beautiful views of Rome in the distance. You’ll taste 3 different local wines along with seasonal local snacks (some direct from our garden!). Sit and relax while sipping your wine in a beautiful setting with amazing views of Rome in the distance.
TOUR THE HISTORIC CENTER OF FRASCATI
Learn about the history of Frascati while tasting local products like slow-roasted pork and Frascati jug wine. Meet local artisans and shop owners who are eager to share their stories. Feel like a local while accompanied by your guide who lives in Frascati and knows everybody in town! Blend in with the locals. Meet the bakers, the butchers, and the farmers selling vegetables from their fields. Their stalls are full of items such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, balsamic vinegar, sun dried tomatoes, olives and many other Italian food specialties.
TRADITIONAL "FAGOTTO" DINNER IN OSTERIA
A fagotto (Italian for “bundle”) refers to the old custom of arriving at a fraschetta—a casual, no-frills tavern—with your own bundle of food to enjoy alongside pitchers of the local Frascati white wine. For our tour we will bring you to a wonderful Osteria who celebrates this tradition with their own fagotto-style dinner of local foods. You will enjoy a meal of local meats, cheeses, breads, and vegetables served with local Frascati wine in a historic piazza in the center of Frascati. More than just a meal, a fagotto-style dinner is about the joy of sharing, celebrating good company, good wine, and the simple pleasures of life.
TOUR END
You should finish dinner by about 9:00-9:30PM. You can take an easy 5 minute stroll through Frascati back to the train station. Return trains depart at 9:36.

Directions

Frascati, which has been famous for its wines since the time of Ancient Rome, is an easy 30 minute train ride from Rome.

Train Schedules:
Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday: Train #20083 departs from Roma Termini at 3:54 PM; arrives at FRASCATI train station at 4:24 PM.

Return Trains:
Trains return to Rome from Frascati at 9:36 and on Tuesday and Thursday also at 10.36.
